For Your Comfort
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays are images that are taken digitally and loaded
into a computer file especially for a specific patient. The advantages
of digital x-rays include exposure to lower radiation (up to 80%
less radiation than traditional x-rays) and the application of
a multitude of diagnostic imaging tools. They can also be enlarged
to the full size of a computer screen allowing the doctors to have
improved viewing ability for analysis and diagnosis.
Digital x-rays have given us the ability to co-diagnose with our
patients. The patients love seeing their x-rays. It has made our
exams much more interactive.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide, in combination with Oxygen, is available in our
office. When needed, this safe and effective mixture is commonly
referred to as laughing gas or happy air. It is helpful for both
adults and children as it produces relaxed feeling for the patient,
resulting in a more pleasant experience.
TV’s in Ceiling
How many times have you wished there were something to take your
mind off of what the dentist is doing in your mouth? Well hurray
for technology. We heard your plea, and have installed TV’s in
the ceiling! Now you can put on the headphones, and watch the news,
sports, or a DVD during your treatment.
Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras are tiny digital cameras that fit comfortably
in your mouth and enable Drs. Harris and Wilkins to show you an
enlarged image of your teeth on a computer screen. Not only does
this help during diagnosis with clearly defined images that show
details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations, it
can also be an educational tool, allowing you to see the inside
of your mouth and confront problems or review procedures as they
progress. All of our doctors have found that the intra-oral cameras
have helped them communicate with patients and actually show them
the problems they are facing with their teeth.
Laser Dentistry
Dental lasers are used for a variety of treatment procedures and
give us the opportunity to enhance our treatment spectrum in periodontics,
implantology, and soft tissue management. Depending on your treatment
needs, we may use the laser for a long period of time or possibly
only for brief moments. However, even those procedures that require
only a short period of laser usage benefit from the advantages
of laser therapy. With laser surgery, there is a reduced need for
local anesthesia, bleeding is minimized, swelling is controlled,
and there is usually little, if any, postoperative discomfort.
Lasers do not make whining sounds or other annoying noises. You
may experience the sound of a rush of air, since air suction is
often used to keep the area cool and cleaner. You should be able
to relax and be comfortable while the dental laser is in use.
By visiting us, you’ll have the opportunity to experience
a new and exciting technology.

natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art

High Standards
A standard of excellence in personalized dental care enables us
to provide the quality dental services our patients deserve. We
provide comprehensive treatment planning and use restorative and
cosmetic dentistry to achieve your optimal dental health. Should
a dental emergency occur, we make every effort to see and care
for you as soon as possible.
Education & Prevention
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are
the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental
health care” vs. “disease care.” That’s why we focus
on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and
gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary.
We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride
are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused
on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health.
A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your
overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may
impact your dental health.
Uncompromising Safety
Infection control in our office is also very important to us.
To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization
and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by
the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control
(CDC).
Training & Expertise
As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident
knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians.
We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your
smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results,
we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend
dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed
of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment
that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art
dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental
associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations
for our profession.
A Positive Experience
Building a foundation of trust by treating our patients as special
individuals is vital to our success. We understand how uneasy some
patients may feel about their dental visits, and how we can make
a difference in providing a relaxing and positive experience. Our
entire team is dedicated to providing you with excellent, personalized
care and service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant
as possible.
We thank you for allowing us to take care of your dental needs
and look forward to serving you.

- Any necessary radiographs (x-rays) to detect pathology
